A Fresh Start

I did my presentation in social problems today, and I got a good response so, my quest to find a good article was worthwhile! Now, that my Jonny mindset is out the window...even though it took months to get here, I'm feeling good! I've noticed there is one guy in each of my classes that I'd love to get to know a little better. AND, the guy from my institute class last semester got my phone number from Michelle Knight, my old YW's President in the 26th ward! He is her nephew. Small World. Anyway, he asked me on a date for TONIGHT! :) Things are looking up already. We're gonna play dodgeball and have a BBQ. Should be fun. Also, Brett, from my Anatomy Class in Fall '06 semester came back into the picture out of nowhere. He asked me out but I politely declined. He's in some kinda relationship, that I guess isn't serious, but it's still there so I'm not gonna put myself in the mix. I want some uncomplicated, uninvolved, untainted, FUN! So, Jesse Vaughan, Michelle's nephew will put me on the right road for a new beginning. I'm excited. This weekend would be so great but I do have the lesson on sunday so I've gotta get that prepared sometime before then!....I guess it's better to have one thing to do than having more than one thing to do! As for Tom, you all remember him I'm sure. He's still in my life. Still in the picture. He claims the mission is coming soon, and that if I don't see some solid evidence of that by summer I can give him the boot. So i'm gonna keep him around til then! His brother Royce got a new puppy. A german shepherd, 8 weeks old straight from germany. He says he is really cute! They named him Bec. (shoulder shrug) I dunno where that came from. Anyway he said I've got to come see him so maybe I'll do that. Some friends of mine in the single's ward invited me out to crystal hot springs saturday afternoon so that sounds like a fun option! We're supposed to be doing baptisms for the dead at 8:30 that morning so it'd be a whole day with the ward, they're a pretty cool bunch of people so I may do that. Also, Mike Hanna, the guy I met that went ot school with Ashley, swimming accident, he's now a quadraplegic, the guy I would go spend my breaks with while I worked at South Davis. Well, he's home now, though still on a respirator, and he invited me over to hang out with his family and him, he's very appreciative of me not forgetting about him! It'd be so awful to have your life change like that so fast. I can't just forget he's around you know? Because no one can really say how long he's gonna be around---gotta use the time we know we have, not just assume they'll always be another day! Problem with life is, sometimes, you have to pick and choose. There's just not time to do everything.
Lucky for me, I've got a whole bunch of good choices, so whatever I end up doing with my weekend oughta be cool-
Family updates: Nate and Joni sold their house, and are moving to an apt in Layton. The Hamblin's got a new computer and high speed internet at their house recently, which we're all very excited about, Kenna got 2 dry sockets from having her wisdom teeth out but I believe she is now on her way to a full recovery, and Travis and Janae made it to St. George safe and Sound. Biker and Nuny are really struggling with their health. Joints are causin them alot of grief. Last I heard grandma needs a hip replacement and biker needs both knees replaced again, how grateful I am to be YOUNG!
