Mike Coombs

Yesterday was a Brigham City day. Dr. Major is gone right now- out playing Dr. for the Tour of Georgia Cycling Race! So Sean, his PA, took over his patient load for the day. All was going fine, most of the day, and then........I started feeling so horrible. The pain was impossible to bear I wanted to cry but I had to keep working! Normally, I could sit back and try to fix whatever was wrong with me because Andria is usually there to pick up my slack. But today she had a staff meeting in the hospital (because she works as a CNA part time in Labor and Delivery).. So I, was on my own. Luckily, I conned Terry Clawson, the audiologist, into giving me some of his Ibuprofen. But that didn't work for almost an hour!! It was the miserable time. During all of this was occuring. Mike Coombs, the boy from Physiology lab, asked me If he could take me for ice cream after work. So....I made a plan to do that. But I knew I was feeling crummy. So, I was thinking I'd have to cancel. But, lo and behold...5 o'clock came and the meds had kicked in. Heavenly Father answers prayers people!! What seems like a little thing to all of you reading this, was a big deal to me, and He knew that. What a blessing! Anyway, I was able to meet up with Mike in Ogden since I had to drop of some labs to McKay Dee. He took me to Frosted Rock on Harrison for Ice Cream and then we went to Forest Green? Park up by Weber State. We ate our ice cream on the swings (Mike was sure to bring SEVERAL napkins, he's a pretty messy eater) haha, and then we went and walked around (the yucky) pond. Where this giant duck did a great job at intimidating me ;) the thing was enormous I'm telling you. Anyway, count on Travis, my righteous brother, to call me and remind me institute was starting shortly and that I should be there! Well, that was in my plan already...I just knew I'd arrive slightly late :D Anyway Mike took me back to my car and I drove to institute for our last BOM part 1 class given by the Crabtree's (Kenna's INLAWS). After institute...Mike came over to our house for part 2 of our date to watch a movie. John Q was the pick. It was the first time we've been semi close. Awkward, Exciting, Funny....oh dating....its a funny thing. We had a good time I think. So my day that I thought I'd never survive, I actually finished with a smile :D He's alot like our family in terms of the clock. He left after 12:30am I think...night owls fit in well at the Canova house. He's a good guy people, I'm telling you. Travis still likes Cody more than Mike, but...he's entitled to his opinion and I'm entitled to my own. I'm not sold either way but I'm having fun.
Anyway, In class today I got my take home back 45 outta 50. Not terrible at all. Plus we got 5 pts for taking notes on a guest speaker last week. So..theres the 5 points I missed. I think I may actually pull outta this semester with an A in this thing!! Just gotta work a miracle on my final.
My english paper is still waiting to be done. I've had the best of intentions this week but it just hasn't happened.....I think its due friday so I better get down to the nitty gritty tonight. Uh what else-- I talked to Jonny on Monday. He was driving home ( to Wisconsin ) from Michigan, where he had just put a lease on his new place. I found out he'll be home A few days at the end of May and the first week in June. Time will tell If I see him while he's local. It could be fun, and it could be disasterous. So.............................................I'll let you all know how that shakes out after it happens. Time has worked against him and I. Which is not that cool. Because now we have to wonder what might have been.

LIFE IS THE GREATEST. Even though some of it STINKS!
See ya later BLOG!
