Mike was great and made me feel extra special. It fell on a friday so he and I both had school. So we decided we would go on our anniversary date around 4:30 friday afternoon.
Once we were both home I gave Mike his gift...
He became a member of the "Date of the Month" Club!
The package included 12 Dates for 12 Months put in order by him but planned by yours truly.
Romance Reward Tickets...for breakfast in bed, or a ticket to play hookie, or a get out of the doghouse free ticket...and many more :)
It also came with 2 "mini vacations" one to the state fair in september and the other to Disneyland (hopefully when I get done with Nursing school in July!)
But the Bonus for Joining by January 29th was a big bag of hershey hugs and kisses...each to be traded for a real hug or kiss at any time!
He loved it and is currently in the process of deciding what order he would like his 12 dates to come in throughout the year.
Then...Mike gave me a gift with one rose (for one year) on it... that held inside...this cute ear warmer (you've probably seen them around)
and a butterfinger...my favorite!
Then...as I was finishing getting ready to go....he brought me another gift....inside were some clothes for he and I....yay! This meant we wouldn't be sleeping at home tonight. So, he told me to pack what I'd need for tonight and tomorrow and we'd be on our way. He told me he had planned to pack for me and then It'd be a total surprise that we didn't go home after our date..but...I didn't end up having to be at school by 8am like he'd thought so since he had to leave for school before I did...I sort of put the "kabosh" on his plan. Sorry Honey.
This surprise was still a great one!
So...he took me down to Salt Lake City and we checked in to the Marriott City Center. It was so pretty inside! We got our things all settled on the 5th floor and then we went to look for parking (this is a hard task by the way on a friday night in downtown SLC!)...We ended up coming up with..nothing. So Mike dropped me off at Romano's Macaroni Grill and then he went back and parked at the hotel to walk to the restaurant :) Don't worry, the hotel was only a couple blocks away. So, I got our table and Mike came to join me in about 15 minutes. It worked out wonderfully. The food here was delicious! I had never been so it was very very pleasant!

After we got back to the hotel from dinner, we settled down to watch....whatever we wanted to on TV...there were a few movies on.
Then we thought we'd hit the hot tub! We did some swimming too but mostly we just enjoyed the jetted tub and some romantic time alone together (it was 10pm "ish" so we actually did get to be alone in there for a bit). It was so nice.

Then...we went back up to the room, and this is picture of me, happy we got to go for a swim :)
it was ready to be EATEN! Here it is all packaged up with our wedding ribbon on top.
Mike and I with our Cake, happy one year anniversary!
Here's my honey gladly cutting us each a piece!
Then....we happily (yet sadily) left room 504.
And so my anniversary came and went like every day does....I'm sad that we had to leave this day behind....but I get to keep the man I spent it with FOREVER!
Leaving the Marriott parking garage Mike was a sport and posed with our room key.
It was a perfect evening with so many little well planned details by my incredible hubby.
I love you babe!
The next morning we slept in....the packed up to check out...but not before taking a few more pictures. Here is Mike showing everybody our view from our room...the plaza! We got to spy on people ice skating at the gallivan center. It was great.
(I took it this way so you could all see the sweet hotel carpet!)

Then we spent our afternoon shopping around at the Gateway.
Mike is so perfect! And so was our anniversary weekend.
When we got home I was greated by my flowers from Him and I wanted to take a picture to remember it by...One rose for me, one for him, and one for our amazing anniversary.
