Well...
I didn't take a single picture this weekend but...
I'll tell you all what we did anyway!
Friday night was dinner at Kenna and Gage's house. Roast, potatoes, jello, and a delicious dessert rice crispy dessert! Then we conned the boys into watching Dear John...they weren't impressed.
Saturday morning we went "Frolfing" with Kenna, Gage, and the kids! It's frisbee golfing if you haven't heard of it. I did actually take some pictures but they're on Kenna's camera. I will have to get them on here as they are pretty much awesome! Saturday afternoon we hit up RC willey for a free hot dog and soft drink lunch! YUM! Then Mike took me to see Robin Hood...cool flick! After the movie we went to Texas Roadhouse to celebrate Steve (my dad in-law)'s birthday! It was so good. Mike and I shared a full slab of ribs and some of those tasty tasty roles! After dinner we went over to Ross. We found some great things for our apartment and we love that they didn't cost a fortune! My favorite purchase would have to be the rug we got for our kitchen. I've been holding off getting one so that I could find just the one I want and I finally did! After shopping Mike and I went home to spend some much enjoyed time together. I had to work at 10....so I did that all night. And got back home to bed just in time to get about 2 hours of sleep before Sunday brought with it, Church. We taught our lesson about Ruth. Mike did a great job! We got a new bishopric. Good guys as always! Then we went home and had a nap. When I got up Mike was makin' dinner. Corn on the cob and cream cheese chicken. Pretty darn good! Sunday night we met with the family over at Kenna and Gage's house. We ate peanut butter bars out of a cup because they weren't quite all the way cooked. But regardless they were delicious!! We roasted marshmallows over the fire out back. We played King Pin...another awesome outdoor game! and then....we hung out inside and Mike discovered a cool new feature on Kenna's new digital camera. It's called smile detector. Needless to say I spend lots of time playing with this! I'll have to get these pictures up also. It was a blast. Its super amazing if you ask me...the camera takes a picture on its own as soon as it detects a smile and not a moment sooner! We all listened to a talk by Elder Bednar about things as they really are, and were inspired to use technology better. We all intended to stay over late and watch a movie at midnight but by the time the clocked rolled around to 12...we all decided that we didn't have another 2 hours left in us...so, we went home and hit the sack. Monday morning, Mike took his Dad golfing for his birthday (his brother Nate tagged along too). He was home by 10:30 or so to report that Steve had won, and by a lot! :) Then we both got ready for the day and went to the mall. We hit up Chik fil A for our free spicy chicken sandwiches for lunch, and then shopped a bit. Mike's birthday is coming up so that was our main focus! Next we came back home and decided to visit the cemetery just across the way from us. We walked over to pay our respects and see how nice the cemetery looked all dressed up in flags and flowers. After this, we played some tennis. Not well...but we played. This was really fun but short lived since we didn't want to have to shower again before our Monday night festivities. At about 430pm we headed up to his parents house for a family Memorial day BBQ. We had burgers, chips and dip, and lots of fruit! Following dinner we spend the evening around the fire making smores!
We definitely had a lot to do this weekend, and it turned out to be a really fun one.
I decided May was great because I'm in school but it has hardly felt like it.
I'm ready for June to be different just because I can't have 2 great months in a row can I?
I start precepting June 9th and that will be keeping me VERY busy for the month. I'm not sure how I feel about it..I really like free time. I do have to say though, my schedule got switched to days instead of graves and I couldn't be happier about that cause now I get to be home with Mike every night! YAY!
ANYWAY, that was a long post (more for me to remember than for you guys to enjoy) but thanks for reading! I will try to get up the pictures soon, so that you can all see just what I mean when I say, I SURE HAD A FUN WEEKEND!
