Father's Day, Sunburn, Drive In, Welcome Backs..

I had a busy weekend!
Friday night we went down to Riverton for my cousin Darin's Welcome home party. He was honorably released from his call as a Missionary serving in the Billings Montana Mission :D
Mike joined the family and I. So he got to meet some of the extended. He took it pretty well!
I drove there, he drove home. It's odd to be the passenger in your own car but I didn't mind it. He got us home safely, though we did take a minor detour ;) We were caravaning with My mom, dad, cassidy, and janae, and my mom had called mike and told him to take 89 home cause the freeway was closed. So..we got off, but turns out the free way wasn't closed...so we got back on in Layton. It happens..then we got home, hung out for a while and called it a night.
Saturday..I got the bright idea to layout on the trampoline to finally get the sun I've been wanting to but haven't had time for...So, I layed out, and stayed out WAY too long. I didn't realize it then, but come Saturday evening I really just how fried I really was! OUCH! I've soaked up lots of Aloe vera since then, and it's still pretty tender even today, but It's getting better little by little.
Saturday night Nate & Joni decided they wanted to go to the Drive-In so they brought Kennedi of course, and then Mike, myself and Cassidy joined them. We saw Kung Fu Panda and then, Indiana Jones..I liked the Panda one. It was pretty cute. But the Indiana Jones I had already seen, and I didn't really care to watch it again so I kinda snoozed, Kinda watched...it worked out.
Mike was funny. He told me I'm like that girl on X-men that can't touch anyone. I was pretty stand-offish due to the pain of the sunburn, but I thought I was fair. It's not like I didn't want to be close to him! That counts for something right :) ??
Well, we got everything all cleaned up to drive home, and...my truck was dead. It wouldn't start..
by this time nate and joni had already left but luckily mike hadn't. He jumped right up to help. Went and asked somebody for jumper cables and luckily he knew how to hook 'em up cause I sure didn't. It took a few tries but eventually we were in business. What a great guy. Takin' care of Cass and Me. This is a great example of why every girl needs a guy.
Sunday came, and it was my week for the lesson again. I prepared in Saturday day..mostly on my own. And polished it up late late when I got home from the drive in Saturday. By the time I came to leave for church, I didn't really feel good or bad about how it would go so, I said a prayer and hoped for the best. It was Alma 5-7 but it actually went great. I felt really good about it afterward, the class offered some wonderful comments so, yeah, no complaints.
The family came over sunday night about 7. We celebrated our amazing dad first, and then had cassidy's late birthday party as part two of the evening. Oh, AND Travis got home sunday morning from a long week of EFY this past week. He was a counselor at BYU. He had a neat and exhausting experience from what I've heard so far :) Today has in store, just work, and then a concert in the Layton park, Peter Breinholt performing...Mike is taking me to that so it'll be fun even if the concert itself isn't.

love you all!
