To Nate: NOVEL of the Month :)

So...
I obviously haven't put my time into 'blogging' lately. Regardless, I am alive and well. I spend ALMOST all my spare time with Mike. We've been hiking up Adam's Canyon (I'd never made the whole hike in all my years of living here), We went to....4? sets of fireworks. Syracuse, Raptor's Game, Clinton, and Kaysville. We've been to church together finally. I still don't think that'll be a weekly thing. But our relationship is moving along just fine. Definitely not in leaps and bounds but we're doing ok so I'm happy for that. We've been to a parade and many places to EAT :) Most recent we went to Red Robin where Nate and Joni met us to eat, and then the four of us went to see Hancock starring Will Smith. (Marnie came and picked up Kennedi so Nate and Joni could have some relaxing time away). Anyway I liked the movie...It had a twist that was apparently foreseen my everyone but me.....that's usually how it goes! Um, Mike and I are reading the Peacegiver. We read a chapter (or two or three) everytime (or almost everytime) we're together. Last night we played rummikub with my mom, who of course beat us both. Round two, Travis joined in, and with his help, I won :D I knew I liked him.
Summer is going by too quickly. School is once again, just around the corner :( which means two things. 1. Homework and 2. WAY less time with Mike.
Needless to say I'm not too stoked for it's arrival.
Friday I had my wisdom teeth removed. Yes, all four. I've had a pretty sore couple of days, but luckily the swelling is going down day by day, and pain medicine exists. So, it's been (for the most part) a good recovery.
Saturday afternoon, I had slept for several hours (to escape the sore mouth). When I woke up I was the only one home. All family members M.I.A. Finally I got a hold of McKenna and she invited me over to hang out with her and Trevin. Thank GOODNESS!! For a minute there I was feelin' like nobody loved me ;)
She taught me how to play a new card game called five crowns. She kicked my behind but it was fun to go hang out with my too cool for me married sister. She even let me stay for dinner. How nice :) Um, Sunday was a great day for me. Sacrament meeting was especially meaningful, and also, Elder Phippen, our area 70 addressed us at the end of our meeting. He spoke about 20 minutes and Basically said, STOP DRIFTING! Read the Ensign (every single talk), Write in the margins thoughts you have while reading, KEEP the covenants made weekly partaking of the sacrament. He promised us that if we did so we would STOP DRIFTING. He said people don't fall away. They Drift. It was a bold testimony, and a true conviction of the living gospel. He delivered a powerful message to those in attendance.
The tour de France is going on now. I think this is the third year? that Lance Armstrong hasn't participated (because he's retired obviously)..but we've watched that Kinda hit and miss. At first Mike made so much fun of us. But now he kinda "gets it" so if nothing else, he tolerates the family Interest in the Bike race :)
Um, gas is at $4.15 a gallon for the cheap stuff. Needless to say, I drive less and less. Unless it's a true necessity (like going to work for example) I stay stationary. It adds up so quickly. This last time it cost almost $60 to fill up my Honda. Yes, I get alright mileage but still, I'm a poor girl so it's a little depressing. Stay true to the gospel and and everything will work out right? I don't know about you guys, but like Travis always says...."Come one. Let's have the Second Coming. Lets get on with this...!" I see where he's coming from. The stresses of life just keep coming. People get worse and worse. The economy gets worse... Everything but wages have gone up...
This life certainly IS a test.

Anyway, thats all I can think of for the moment.
I'm sure I've done alot more than that in the past month, but...that'll have to suffice.
