This obviously isn't on the top of my list as far as what to do in a day...or several of them. I haven't written in almost 3 months. Sad.
I do have lots of pictures from the summer. We did some fun stuff with family, and ourselves! Most exciting was our honeymoon to Maui. It was such a relaxing trip. Mentally especially. Mike is my best friend, but i'm still learning more about him every single day. I assume that will continue to happen all our lives. We're both back in school and see much less of each other than we did during the summer. I'm in my second semester of nursing school. It's a busy busy program. Almost ridiculously so. I'm doing fine so far but I'm still waiting for that day that it will just all be over. I definitely prefer not being in school to being in school, but I'm pretty sure most us do :) So, tests, quizzes, studying, 16 hours of clinicals, clinical paperwork (which can be monsters) and 18 hours of school each week keep me pretty well booked. Anyway, I am lucky enough to get to come home to Mike every night for a mental pick me up. I try to be as supportive to him as he is to me but I'm sure i come short now and again.
We were able to attend the Oquirrh Mountain Temple dedication on the 23rd of August. That was a neat time. Our regular church meetings were cancelled to allow everyone to attend. They held two sessions. One at 9am and one at 3pm. We went to the morning one. President Monson, President Uchdorf, and Elder Bednar were in attendance and spoke at the dedication. We attended at our stake center here in layton that was acting as an extension to the temple.
What else what else....
Um, my neice Taylor Meg Hamblin was blessed this past sunday. All the family gathered at her house after church to celebrate. Mike and I made chocolate chip cookies that got a pretty good response. We were proud of ourselves. We still have room for improvement though. We really had to take our chances because it was fast sunday so we couldn't taste any of the dough or cookies prior to serving them. Guess we lucked out that they were edible :)
Nate and Joni are expecting baby number two. They will be able to find out the gender in about another month. They only have boy names picked out so far...so if it's a girl we'll be needing some suggestions for them! Kennedi is growing up to be a very pretty little blonde. She'll be a heartbreaker for sure :)
Mom and Dad are both doing great. They are so busy with just LIFE. But still they find time for me WHENEVER I need them and for WHATEVER i need help with. Mike and I spent the weekend at their house (since we had to be there for the blessing anyway). So we slept over on saturday and sunday night since monday was labor day :)
We had a great time hanging out and NOT thinking about school. We watched an old flick: fast and the furious tokyo drift with them. We talked geneology a bit, scripture facts a little, enjoyed a laid back holiday morning as well. I REALLY had a good time over there. I was grateful Mike suggested we stay that second night. His rationale was hey..."theres more to do at your house after midnight than there is at mine." He's right though. My family definitely has the night owl gene :)
We were back home (we live with my inlaws now. mike's parents) by 2 or so on Monday. Mike decided he wanted to play some tennis and since I'd never joined him in doing so, i thought it was time that I gave in and played some tennis with my man.
It was interesting. I was horrible and at the same time, not too bad. It was just fun to get out and do something active together. After a while my arm was tired (probably since I never use it for more than writing) so I took a little breather and then I was the runner for Mike, gathering up all the tennis balls after he practiced serving, etc. Good times :) For LABOR DAY evening we had a family barbeque here at the coombs residence. We had a ribs and potatoes dinner down by the river. Mike and I got to use the jean quilt his mom made us for our wedding! It's mostly just been sitting in a bag for all these months. We even broke it in with a little BBQ (accidently) but it had to happen sometime.
Can you believe we've been married 7 months now? Coming on 8 months in a couple weeks. My how time flies (even when you aren't having fun).....Marriage is bliss, school is not. But either way, the days go by so at least we're doing something with them. Anyway I'm gonna post just a few pictures from the last while...just for fun. And a note to all you other bloggers (especially my family) thanks for being more faithful to your blogs than i am to my own. I love to sit down and catch up with you guys when I have a minute. Hopefully I'll get to writing again before another 3 months passes but don't count on it ;)

Don't you hate the internet some times! ERG! I'm glad you finally got on and posted! I love reading your blog!
Woohoo for never writing on our own blogs and just reading others :D Also what did you guys do in Muai besides the beach? Does Mike like Rock climbing? Tyler wants to find more couples that do outside things, which i whole heartedly support :D
