DADDY

So, last night Mike and I were trying to fall asleep and suddenly he leaned over to me and said, "Honey, I love our baby." Of course my reply was, "She loves you too."

Then he said, "I just want her to be here." So I said, "She is here, right between us." (In my belly!)

He replied, "No, REALLY here. I just want to hold her."  I then said something silly like, trust me, you don't want her here just yet...she's not ready!...Even though I knew what he meant :)

 The fact that he shared this desire to be with her just melted my heart and put a huge smile on my face. He is so sweet. I just had to write this down, to share with you, and to have as a memory for myself and our baby girl in the years to come.

These are a few pictures of your daddy putting together your stroller and carseat. He can't wait to have you here so he can love on you :) He's wonderful. You WILL JUST LOVE HIM!

On a side note: She is getting closer by the day! (obviously). We've been taking a piece of our countdown chain off every day and it's so fun to see how much closer we are getting to REALLY having our sweet little lady here! (who by the way, has a name... I think) but I won't share it yet just in case we change our minds :)  76 days to go... give or take a few.

The night we put up our countdown chain (made with love by Aunt Kenna and Cass). It was doubled up and hung more than halfway down the wall! So to show the progress we've made so far, I took another picture today. Our double strand is almost gone. We are getting there :)
